Tsunami

The South African East coast has had its own Tsunami over the past three days! The equinox coincided with high spring tides and a 40 knot storm from the south to result in 7 m waves that have been battering the coast for two days now.

I flew up the coast yesterday in a chopper and saw two houses that had been taken by the sea. There's also millions of rands worth of damage, waves washed into apartments and damaged roads and drainage systems.

We expect the swell to drop off from today, so hopefully the damage will abate.
